
The education deprivation in northern Nigeria is pushed by varied components, including financial obstacles and socio-cultural norms and practices that discourage attendance in formal education, particularly for girls. In 2019, girls represented 16% of new tertiary entrants to the field of engineering, manufacturing and building levels in Japan, the lowest share among all OECD nations. In contrast, they represented 71% of latest entrants to the sector of education a sector historically dominated by ladies in virtually all OECD nations.
